- A Device Testing Associate is responsible for executing quality assurance testing on Amazon device components, applications, and services.
- This role focuses on following standardized testing procedures, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall product quality assurance process

Key job responsibilities
- You test small components and features related to an Amazon device, application, or service.
- You follow SOPs and execute tasks assigned to you on a daily basis.
- You strive to meet productivity and quality baselines.
- You acquire knowledge from peers, on-the-job training, and via Device and Quality team-provided content (e.g., SharePoint, Wiki, etc.).
- You use required tools and follow relevant practices that facilitate smoother operations and eliminate process dependencies.
- You seek help from peers and/or your manager when instructions are unclear or if you are uncertain about a procedure.
- In the event of a problem, you are able to proceed when a workaround is recommended.
- You perform predefined test cases without compromising the quality they test for.
- You raise defects for all failures observed and track doubts related to the execution of test instructions through pre-defined mechanisms.
- You track daily execution status using recommended tools and techniques, and provide individual status reports.
- You actively participate in internal cross-training sessions and trainings required by the product team(s) and in your organization.
- You report and track issues per the SLAs and defined guidelines.
- You are responsible for the security and maintenance of the company assets, accessories and devices allocated to you to perform your daily operations.
- You use standard tools for effort and data capture and abide by the regulatory processes defined for ensuring process compliance, confidentiality, and security.
- You contribute to process improvement ideas wherever applicable in your project scope. You may assist in the development of new-hires to help them scale in their role

A day in the life
- Perform systematic testing of device components and features
- Execute predefined test cases while maintaining quality standards
- Document and track test results using standard tools and procedures
- Raise and monitor defects through appropriate channels
- Implement recommended workarounds
- Completed test case execution reports
- Daily status reports
- Quality metrics achievement
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
- Maintain security protocols for company assets and testing devices
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and confidentiality standards
- Participate in cross-training sessions and required product team training
- Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of testing procedures
- Assist in training new team members
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives

About the team
Device OS Testing Associates partners with the QA, Engineering, Product and development teams, to perform test execution across all Amazon device families. We provide end to end Quality Services like Regression testing, Functionality testing, Performance testing, Interop testing, Sanity testing, Smoke testing, and so on.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with testing consumer devices
- Networking / Connectivity background will be added advantage.
