PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESFormulate efficient operational programs, validation of 3D models, defining of tooling and work holding devices that maximize machine utilization and product quality to assure customer expectations are met.Complete and maintain the entire process sheet documentation including set up, tooling and offset details and file system.Defining of end-to-end process and prove out on the machine.Maintain awareness of new ideas in work holding devices, processes, tools, methods, etc. and apply them effectively to NC manufacturing.Formulate and maintain the operational related SOP and WI.Be responsive to the short-term needs of the shop to keep the NC machines running at 100% efficiency.Contribute to the cost reduction program by actively seeking and reporting opportunities for reduced costs.Develop and maintain open communication with all personnel in include accepting suggestions and instruction.Responsible for coordinating with the Manufacturing Engineer to update routers for part programs created or modified.Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.Assist in developing the parts at supplier end.FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESCreation of solid models for use in machine programmingCreation of NC programs and process sheets for various machines such HMC, VMC, Lathes, VTL, multi-axis etc.Work with and Machinist to prove out NC programs.Create and maintain machining process sheets with most current revisions.Assist in Quotation & cycle time estimation for new parts.Develop and maintain part specific tooling list.Create process drawings wherever required.Assist ME for creating New Standard BOM/RoutersParticipate in process improvement initiatives.Design and assist in developing tooling & fixturing wherever required.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSDiploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production3-4 years of experience in machine shop process engineeringMust be proficient with CAM software (SolidCAM, MasterCAM, EspritProficient in CAD software such as Solid works, Autocad, ProE etcMust have in-depth understanding of manufacturing process such as Turning, boring, milling, drill & tap, tooling and work holding devices.Experience with creating solid models from drawings for use in programming is desirable.JOB REQUIREMENTSCNC machine process developmentBEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIESGood behavior, team player, good communicatorTECHNICAL COMPETENCIESHands on experience of CNC machine (HMC, VMC, VTL, multi-axis machines of different makes) operations, good understanding of cutting parameters, work holding devices, cutting tools/special tools and machining strategies.
