Plant (Facility) Details:
  • This facility develops, manufactures, and markets polyolefin fibers for nonwoven, textile, and industrial applications. The fibers are used in nonwovens made by carding, wet lay, and air laid web formation processes, consolidated by thermal bonding, air-through bonding, needle punching, and spunlacing.
Summary:
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment and systems in industrial settings. These settings often include complex machinery and high-voltage equipment.
  • Performing duties in complex electrical systems for large industrial equipment and apparatuses.
  • Working within intricate wiring, high-voltage connections, and precise calibration of machinery.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Possess specialized skills needed for the maintenance and repair of intricate electrical systems in large industrial plant environments.
  • Keen understanding of machinery and high-voltage systems, troubleshoot issues, conduct regular inspections, and perform repairs swiftly to minimize downtime, ensuring uninterrupted production processes.
  • During maintenance sessions, perform site checks and safety procedures for signs of problems and corrective action.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and perform other preventative maintenance tasks to prevent future problems and manage hazards. Regular maintenance of electrical systems working at peak efficiency.
  • Must be very disciplined, with a keen eye for detail, ensuring seamless installations that uphold safety standards and optimize operational efficiency in industrial settings.
  • Understand maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation guidelines and best practices for working within industrial electrical systems.
  • Support the plant to advance new industrial machinery and equipment, including electrical panels, conduits, wiring, and control systems.
Education & Experience:
  • Preferred: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
  • Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot and maintain process control systems.
  • Completes necessary documentation to ensure control documentation is current, follows all necessary change control procedures, and updates (marks up) drawings to reflect process improvements and field changes. Initiates and completes work orders and requisitions and documents all critical and pertinent information on a routine basis. Responsible for vendor contact as requested.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
