Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant- API Testing & Cypress We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Consultant with deep expertise in API testing and Cypress automation to drive quality assurance strategies, lead automation frameworks, and ensure seamless integration and performance of web applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing methodologies, RESTful APIs, JavaScript-based automation tools (primarily Cypress), and experience mentoring teams. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for both UI and API testing. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases. Drive API testing efforts: validation of RESTful services, contract testing, data validation, and backend logic verification. Create and manage test cases, test data, and test documentation in alignment with project requirements. Implement and integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Troubleshoot automation issues and provide technical guidance to QA team members. Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for test automation and QA processes. Mentor and coach junior testers and automation engineers. Qualificationswe seek in you Minimum qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Valid years of experience in software testing, with experience in a lead QA/automation role. Strong experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, Rest Assured, or similar tools. Proficient in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript for UI automation. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr Hands-on experience with version control (Git), continuous integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and Docker (optional but preferred). Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Preferred qualifications Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a collaborative team environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Leadership experience, including leading teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives to successful completion. Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, Java certifications) are a plus.
