This role is for someone who understands Indian labor laws, can create and implement HR policies, drive culture-building initiatives, and engage with employees across multiple regions. The HR Manager will also support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement while ensuring smooth collaboration across all departments.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy & ComplianceDraft, review, and implement HR policies in line with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements.Ensure compliance with all legal, payroll, and statutory obligations across regions.Culture & EngagementDesign and run initiatives that build a strong, inclusive company culture.Be the voice of the company’s vision, ensuring employees feel connected and valued.Conduct regular check-ins with teams across locations to understand concerns and drive solutions.Talent Acquisition & OnboardingManage end-to-end recruitment for various roles (sales, projects, facilitators, content).Build a strong pipeline of talent through proactive sourcing.Create a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.Performance & DevelopmentImplement and manage KRAs, KPIs, and appraisal cycles.Work with department heads to identify skill gaps and organize training programs.HR Operations & TechnologyManage HRIS (Zoho People) for attendance, leaves, performance, and employee data.Generate reports and insights for leadership to support decision-making.Business PartnershipAct as a trusted advisor to department heads and leadership.Collaborate with all functions to ensure HR initiatives align with business needs.Must-Have QualificationsMBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent.5+ years of HR experience, including strong exposure to:Indian labor laws & compliancePolicy drafting & implementationEmployee engagement across regionsRecruitment and onboardingHands-on experience with Zoho People or similar HRIS platforms.Strong interpersonal skills – approachable, empathetic, and a people person.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across departments.Good-to-Have (Advantages)Experience in L&D or training industry (helpful to understand business context).Certification in labor law, HR analytics, or employee relations.Exposure to culture-building initiatives in growing organizations.Experience in HR digital transformation and automation projects.Key AttributesBuilds trust and relationships across all levels.Balances compliance with a human-first approach.Promotes values, collaboration, and belonging.Uses Zoho People and HR data to make better decisions.Finds solutions that are fair, timely, and aligned with company goals.
