What You Will Do

As a Senior UI Designer at our firm, you will play a critical role in translating wireframes into compelling visual designs for enterprise-scale websites. Your expertise in digital design systems, user experience, understanding of complex website components, and commitment to component-based design principles will drive the creation of seamless, user-centric digital experiences. Working in close collaboration with our UX team, you'll leverage your user-centered design skills to produce cutting-edge designs that exceed client expectations.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate closely with our UX team to understand wireframes and user journeys, ensuring a smooth and comprehensive transition from wireframes to visual designs.
  • Understand user requirements and goals in collaboration with UX
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how the website will function and appear to users
  • Design digital user interface elements and components including headers, megamenus, footers, hero units, carousels, grids, feature lists, and more.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of website complexities and design considerations, optimizing designs for performance, responsiveness, and accessibility.
  • Implement component-based design principles, considering various component variants and interactions to ensure consistency and scalability across the website.
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
  • Work closely with front-end developers to provide design assets, specifications, and guidance throughout the development process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance your design skills and contribute innovative ideas to the team.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their brand, goals, and design preferences, incorporating feedback into the design process effectively.
  • Participate in design critiques and contribute constructively to team discussions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Interactive Design, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 3+ years of full-time experience working as a UI designer on digital products.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing enterprise-scale websites, demonstrating a keen eye for detail, creativity, and user-centric design.
  • A solid understanding of both UX, UI, User flows and user goals as well as ADA compliant standards
  • Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma and the Adobe creative suite
  • Expertise in component libraries in Figma
  • Experience working with wireframes and prototypes, preferably in Figma, and collaborating closely with UX teams.
  • In-depth understanding of website components, layouts, and interaction design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Present your work to multiple teams, including non-design audiences, with the ability to advocate for your design decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward challenges.
  • A passion for staying updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and industry developments.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to work independently and thoroughly
  • Quickly iterate based on stakeholder and user feedback
  • Must provide a link to an online portfolio with digital design work examples and/or case studies.
