Job Description:
Automation Test Engineers are responsible for creating test cases that cover various scenarios and test conditions. They continuously enhance and debug these test cases to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Finally, they execute the test cases to validate the functionality of the software.
Responsibilities:
Excellent problem-solving skills
Able to forecast and meet delivery expectations. Communicate and justify proactively if unable to meet delivery timeline.
Effectively collaborate with the team
Explore solution options and try to resolve issues before seeking help
Ability to understand system dependency and exercise good technical judgment
Speak up and ask questions in core and extended team meetings to improve understanding and get clarity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English and local language.
Able to navigate in new areas and embrace challenges
Able to prioritize and organize day-to-day work
Detail oriented
Qualifications:
Experience in setting up test environment and automation test script development, execution and maintenance. Automation scripting language experience:
Primary/must: Java
Experience in Ruby
Familiarity with Python
Knowledge and experience with below automation software testing along with designing, writing and execution of test plans, test cases, issue triage for the qualification of cloud-based applications and services
End-to-End testing
Regression testing
Smoke testing
Performance testing
API (functional and load)
Knowledge and experience with automated testing frameworks and quality assurance tools
Cucumber / Capybara
Postman
Jenkins
Github
Selenium
Jira
Test rail
In-house simulators/emulators
Experience with software tools used to monitor and search big data (e.g., Splunk) is a plus
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Back-end experience preferred
