Job Title: QA Automation Engineer - Selenium & API

Location: Bangalore

Experience Range: 5 - 8 Years

Job Overview:  We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with extensive experience in Selenium, Java, and API testing to enhance our quality assurance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and build advanced automated testing frameworks and test suites using Selenium and Java. Develop and execute automated tests for API endpoints to validate RESTful services. Work closely with the development team to understand the software architecture and identify testing requirements. Write, maintain, and execute automated test cases for new and existing features. Analyze test results, document issues and defects, and collaborate with the team to resolve them. Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality and efficiency throughout the development lifecycle. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing tools, strategies, and best practices in QA automation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers. Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings following Agile methodologies.

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Java for creating robust test automation. Proficiency in API testing and using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar. Good understanding of web technologies and protocols such as HTTP, JSON, and XML. Familiarity with SQL databases and writing complex queries for backend testing. Experience with source control systems like Git. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or TeamCity. Ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in QA automation, with significant expertise in Selenium and Java. Solid track record in developing high-quality automated tests for complex applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Selenium, Java, or QA methodologies. Experience in implementing automated testing for large scale, enterprise-grade applications. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality, reliable test results. Proactive and eager to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
