Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Setup and Operation:Install, set up, and operate various audio and video devices, including projectors, displays, smartboards, sound systems, and microphones for classroom use and events like lectures, conferences, and graduations.
  • Technical Support:Provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and students by resolving issues with AV equipment and troubleshooting problems to prevent disruptions to lessons and events.
  • Maintenance and Calibration:Regularly maintain, test, and calibrate AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity, making repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Inventory Management:Maintain an organized inventory of all AV equipment, supplies, and cables, ensuring that necessary items are stocked and readily available.
  • Event Support:Assist with the technical setup and operation of AV equipment for school-wide events, such as assemblies, virtual classrooms, and hybrid meetings, ensuring clear audio and video feeds for all participants.
  • Technical Liaison:Coordinate with educators and other departments to understand their AV needs and recommend appropriate equipment or solutions.
  • Stay Updated on Technology:Keep abreast of the latest advancements in audio-visual technology to suggest and implement new tools that can enhance the educational experience.
  • Ensure Quality and Reliability:Monitor sound and video feeds to ensure high-quality and reliable delivery of educational content.
