Data Engineer Req ID FY|S&M|#4 Location(s) Bangalore, India; Work arrangement(s) Hybrid (works from home and New Relic office throughout the week), Office (works primarily in a New Relic office) Your opportunity We are looking for a Platform Data Engineer to join us in building a scalable, easy-to-use data platform targeted at various technical folks within New Relic. We also build data apps atop this platform when needed.Help supply the vision for data infrastructure and analysis tools, establishing standard methodologies for creating systems and datasets that the entire company will use. Bringing deep technical skills, you will add to our environment to build a strong data foundation for the company. We are seeking someone excited about having an impact at New Relic around revenue and customer experience What you'll do

Assisting team members in designing and building data infrastructure at scale. We handle PB of data each day through streaming and batch processing. You will be helping to deliver data to our data lake for use by our Data Warehouse team, Analytics teams and Data Scientists.Work on Data Lakehouse system architecture and ingesting/pipelining of data, and tools to automate and orchestrate in delivering performance, reliability, and operational efficiencyDefine both batch and streaming data-parallel processing pipelines and distributed processing back-endsBuild CI/CD Pipelines and manage configuration managementBuild tools and services that run on k8s that are part of our data ecosystemRoutinely write efficient, legible, and well-commented PythonClear communication skills to deliver on complex, technical topicsHelp scale our data warehouse (we use Snowflake) for clean data-ready delivery for analysisWork closely with Analytic Engineers and Data Analysts for the collection/analysis of raw data for models that empower end users.Build and scale our warehouse platform for data ingest, logging, search, aggregation, viewing, and analysisThis role requires

3+ years of professional experience working and developing using Python and/or Java3+ years of professional experience working with Python scripting experience (Unix, bash, python)AWS Certification or equivalent experienceTerraform or other IaC Tools (Terraform Preferred)Experience with Streaming Data Apache Beam, Fink, Spark, and KafkaExperience with modern data technologies such as Airflow, Snowflake, Redshift, SparkKnowledge of source control, gitflow, gitlabflow, CI/CD (gitlab, circleci)Knowledge/Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, HelmExperience with automation and orchestration toolsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, or a combination of education and related experience requiredBonus points if you have
