Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum guidelines.
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, and annual lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to facilitate active learning, including digital tools and experiential activities.
  • Prepare students for internal and CBSE board assessments through regular tests, assignments, and feedback.
  • Evaluate students' progress regularly and maintain up-to-date academic records.
  • Encourage student participation and create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Integrate grammar, literature, writing, speaking, and listening skills in teaching.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, workshops, and training programs.
  • Maintain discipline and classroom decorum in accordance with school policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary teaching and co-curricular planning.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in English (B.A./M.A. in English)
  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – Mandatory
  • Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred.
  • Strong command over English grammar, literature, and communication skills.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and English pedagogy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Classroom management and student engagement skills.
  • Creative and innovative approach to teaching.
  • Technologically proficient (Google Classroom, MS Office, smart boards, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
