About the Position

Monitor the effectiveness of implementation the appropriate ESG management system (Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their updating in line with changes in laws, regulations and corporate directives;

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the environment and social initiatives and the compliance to law and regulatory requirements of the Times Group operating locations; and developing, implementing, monitoring organizational ESG management system.

Areas of Responsibility

Coordinate, develop and implement strategic initiatives and support facilities to improve their occupational health, safety and environmental performance; specifically through actively encouraging the development of a positive Culture in the organization in consultation with Head – EHS & Sustainability . Providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders for Health, Safety and Environmental matters Prepare and conduct risk assessment, impact and aspect assessment for the activities at facilities. . Working with H&S and Security Teams and developing Environmental, Health & Safety Standards and Management Systems. Managing, improving and monitoring environment, health and safety compliance confirming to national /local legislation, corporate policy/procedures and where practicable using best practice as the benchmark EHS audit of facilities on regular basis. Design review of existing fire safety systems and suggest corrective actions to H&S and Project teams. Providing monthly reports, updating dashboards and presentations to the Head – EHS & Sustainability on business occupational health and safety performance Managing and where necessary attend major incident investigations and suggest preventive plans; preparing accident/injury indices and review the risk rating and accident rates on periodic intervals. Developing a culture in organization to promote the near miss incident reporting and its corrective and preventive action Developing EHS training modules and liaise with HR, Security and H&S Teams to ensure that Health, Safety and Environment audits and training is completed for all levels of associates Managing, ensuring the Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness Programme across the Liaising and supporting the Project and Real Estate in devising and deploying EHS requirements for new office sites. Establishing an effective fire safety management system and focusing on zero fire incidents and exceptions at Preparing annual environment occupational health and safety operating plan and its implementation to achieve safe & healthy work environment Ensuring safety at construction site and prepare EH &S agreements with contractor workmen for ensuring safety at sites Extending support to stakeholders in identifying legal EHS requirements applicable for offices. Organize weekly/monthly/quarterly calls with stakeholders and monitor their EHS performance and share best practices.

Educational Qualifications Required

Graduate with post diploma in industrial safety from CLI/RLI or BE/Sub-Officer Course from National Fire Service Collage, Nagpur. Candidate having Graduateship Examination passed from IFE would be an added advantage.

Relevant Experience

Must have understanding of safety systems & designing as per the local, NBC and NFPA Norms. Understanding of all statutory compliances for EHS. Must have conversant in making the power point presentation, excel and Microsoft word. Minimum 8 years post qualification experience of working in factories.
