Company Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Manager specializing in Intellectual Property (IP) and Media to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to protecting our company's valuable intellectual property assets while navigating the complexities of media law.

Job Description:

Intellectual Property Management:


  • Developing and implementing strategies for the protection of company trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Conducting trademark searches, filing trademark applications, and managing trademark portfolios.
  • Drafting and reviewing IP-related agreements, including licensing agreements, assignments, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Media Law Compliance:
  • Providing legal guidance on media-related matters, including advertising, marketing, and content creation.
  • Reviewing advertising and promotional materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Advising on defamation, privacy, and other media-related legal issues.

Contract Negotiation and Drafting:

  • Negotiating and drafting a variety of commercial agreements, including technology licenses, content distribution agreements, and sponsorship agreements.


  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts reflect the company's interests and comply with legal requirements.


Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identifying legal risks related to intellectual property and media activities and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Providing training and guidance to internal teams on legal compliance matters.


Dispute Resolution:


  • Managing IP-related disputes, including infringement claims and enforcement actions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have LLB degree
  • 5 to 6 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on intellectual property and media law preferred.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting contracts.
  • Candidates from entertainment industries is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of intellectual property law, including trademark & copyright.
  • Familiarity with media law concepts, including advertising regulations, defamation, and privacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice and solutions in a fast-paced environment.
