Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Dealer with 5–10+ years of experience on the institutional equities desk, ideally with a strong background in arbitrage, derivatives execution, and FII engagement. The ideal candidate will bring deep market acumen, execution agility, and strong client relationships with FIIs and domestic funds. Proficiency in Excel, Advanced Excel, and key market platforms is essential.
Prior experience: Greeksoft, IOB, one touch DMA, zero touch DMA , Odin and other trading algorithms
Responsibilities
- Trade Execution: Accurately execute trades in Equity and Future & Options (F&O) Segments with precision and timeliness. Utilize various ALGO strategies such as CD Orders, VWAP Orders, Volume Participation, Basket Orders, Blocks, F&O Directional & Spread Trades, and Arbitrage.
- Contribute in developing and improvising in-house Algorithms
- Proficiency in using other Algorithms in market
- Work closely with back-office team to ensure smooth and timely trade settlement process
- Manage and execute equity and derivatives trades (including arbitrage, algo, and pair trades) for FII, hedge fund, and long-only clients.
- Advise institutional clients on market flows, trends, liquidity, and trade execution strategies.
- Source trade ideas, contribute to block deals, and drive idea-based trading.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with SEBI and exchange guidelines.
- Mentor junior dealers and support internal trading efficiency.
Skills
- Market Knowledge & Relationships: Deep understanding of Indian capital markets, NSE–CM & F&O segments, with a strong network among FIIs and local funds.
- Execution & Strategy: Expertise in algorithm trading, arbitrage opportunities, pair trading, and block sourcing with prompt execution under pressure.
- Communication & Client Focus: Excellent oral and written communication; ability to present trade ideas and market intelligence effectively.
- Leadership & Integrity: Entrepreneurial mindset with self‑motivation, high ethical standards, responsiveness, and ability to mentor juniors.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Advanced Excel for trade data analysis, reporting, and strategy tracking.
- Hands on expertise with Bloomberg terminals, FIX OMS, NSE trading platforms (CM & F&O), algorithmic tools, and other market relevant portals.
Qualification
- Graduate in Finance, Economics, Commerce; MBA / CFA / CA preferred.
- 5–10+ years on institutional equity & derivatives desk.
- Prior exposure to arbitrage trading and FII client dealing is highly preferred.
