About the role:The Clinical Data Manager-II is responsible for assisting in the set-up, programming and ongoing maintenance of data management systems in support of George Clinical research projects to ensure the collection of complete and accurate data for final analysis.

Key Accountabilities:Contribute to the set-up of clinical trial databases in set-up phaseContribute to study documentation during the set-up phaseCoding of medications and medical eventsData reconciliation activitiesEffective communications with cross-functional project teamsContribute to the delivery of a clean clinical databaseParticipate in team meetings and activitiesParticipate in objective setting, performance managementParticipate in special projects to improve processes, tools, systems and organisationComply with OH&S legislation and operate in accordance with established OH&Spractice and procedures at the organisation.Promote and contribute to a safe, secure environment for staff and visitors

What are our expectations of candidates?Tertiary qualifications in science or related fieldStrong data management skills and thorough knowledge of the data management processExperience with use of electronic data capture (EDC) tools, for instance RAVE, InForm or other web-based data capture tools is preferable.Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulatory guidelines, especially as related to data handling and processingAbility to evaluate and recommend changes to existing processes and procedures for greater effectivenessExcellent time management and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level problem solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly ie. autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range of varying stakeholders, including senior managementTechnological proficiency including Microsoft Office packagesAbility to see the big picture, yet still focus on detail and quality of workAbility to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
