Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Database Administrator to join our team supporting critical financial and supply chain management systems. This remote position requires expertise in Oracle EBS modules, database administration, and enterprise backup solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining system performance, implementing patches, and improving operational documentation while ensuring high availability of business-critical applications.Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills:5+ years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite administrationStrong expertise in Oracle Database administration (preferably 12c or higher)Experience with Financial Management and Supply Chain Management modulesProficiency with RMAN backup and recovery proceduresExperience with enterprise backup solutions (Rubrik preferred)Knowledge of Oracle EBS patching methodologies and toolsUnderstanding of Auto Config, Applications DBA concepts, and EBS architectureAdditional Requirements:Experience with Linux/Unix operating systemsKnowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scriptingUnderstanding of EBS cloning and environment refresh proceduresFamiliarity with change management and ITIL processesNice to Have Skills & ExperienceOracle certifications (OCP DBA, EBS certifications)Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniquesExperience with enterprise monitoring toolsPrevious retail or distribution industry experienceAgile/Dev Ops methodology experienceKey ResponsibilitiesOracle EBS Administration (80%)Database Administration (20%)Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite focusing on Financial Management (FM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modulesSupport core FM modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed AssetsManage SCM modules including Inventory Management, Order Management, Purchasing, and Warehouse ManagementPerform system health checks, performance monitoring, and capacity planningExecute Auto Config runs and manage EBS configuration changesPerform traditional Oracle DBA tasks including performance tuning and optimizationMonitor database health, manage tablespaces, and optimize SQL queriesImplement user management, security protocols, and access controlsConduct database maintenance activities and troubleshoot performance issuesBackup and Recovery ManagementManage enterprise backup operations using Rubrik data management platformExecute RMAN backup strategies and validate backup integrityPerform point-in-time recovery, tablespace recovery, and disaster recovery proceduresCoordinate application-consistent backups across EBS environmentsTest and validate recovery procedures regularlyPatch ManagementApply Oracle EBS patches including CPU (Critical Patch Updates) and RUP (Release Update Packs)Manage technology stack patches for Database, Web Logic, Forms & ReportsCoordinate one-off patches and customization updatesExecute pre-patch and post-patch validation proceduresImplement rollback procedures when necessaryDocumentation and Process ImprovementDevelop and maintain comprehensive system documentationCreate standardized procedures for patching, recovery, and maintenance activitiesDocument system architecture, configurations, and customizationsImprove operational runbooks and troubleshooting guidesMaintain change control processes and compliance reportingPay rate: $12 - $20/hr
