Motion Designer

Introduction

At Stahl, we believe motion design is more than just movement—it's storytelling in its most dynamic form. We're seeking a talented Motion Designer and Video Editor who can bring ideas to life in visually striking, emotionally engaging, and brand-consistent video and motion formats. From concept to final export, you'll be the force that brings our visual language to life through animation, video editing, and cinematic storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept to Creation: Understand briefs, conceptualise ideas, and develop compelling visual narratives. We appreciate taking ownership of our work at Stahl.

• Storyboarding: Translate ideas into clear and engaging storyboards before moving into production. We're building the Stahl brand across multiple platforms and consistency through planning stages is highly appreciated.

• Motion & Editing : Produce high-quality motion graphics, animations, and edited videos for multiple platforms—corporate, marketing, E-commerce, product, learning, social media, and web. From micro animations to ad films, we would love your contribution to all.

• Creative Editing : Work with raw footage, adding effects, animations, typography, audio, and colour grading to elevate the final product. Technical prowess is need, we will trust you with yours.

• Brand Alignment: Ensure every motion asset reflects Stahl's brand identity, style, and tone.

• Trend Awareness: Research and apply the latest in motion design, animation, and video trends. We don't follow trends blindly, but we do like to be on top of things when we can, keeping true to our Stahl Identity.

• Multitasking: Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables without compromising on quality. You will never be alone, though. We're a small but hustling creative team. The ups, downs, and all arounds, we promise to be along on the ride.

• Problem-Solving: Think creatively to address challenges and push creative boundaries.

• Ownership: Take full responsibility for the output—from initial concept to final delivery.

Technical & Professional Requirements

• Animation Expertise: Strong understanding of animation principles and timing.

• Software Mastery: Advanced skills in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Audition.

• Storyboarding Skills: Ability to develop clear, visually compelling storyboards for ideation and approval.

• Filmmaking Knowledge: Understanding of shooting techniques, production equipment, and editing workflows.

• Plug-ins & Tools: Familiarity with necessary plug-ins and tools for Motion, like Red Giant Suite, Newton, and other advanced motion tools. Not mandatory, but good to have. (Good-to-have but not mandatory)

• 3D Advantage: Knowledge of CINEMA 4D or other 3D software is a plus. (Not mandatory)

• Character Animation: Experience in After Effects or Animate CC is an added bonus.

• Technical Savvy: Understanding of video formats, CODECs, encoding, and platform-specific requirements.

• Cross-Platform Adaptability: Experience producing content for web, mobile, and social media.
