Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman/Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring 2 to 7 years of experience in sheet metal design, product development, and 3D CAD tools like SolidWorks/Inventor. You will be responsible for transforming ideas into detailed designs, collaborating across teams, and ensuring that products are engineered for performance, cost-efficiency, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
  • Develop design concepts and produce detailed engineering drawings.
  • Ensure designs meet manufacturability, durability, cost, and performance criteria.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews to resolve technical challenges.
  • Apply knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and industrial standards (ANSI,JIS, DIN, etc.).
  • Contribute to tooling, fixture, and jig design (preferred).
  • Support manufacturing, production, and assembly processes (preferred).
  • Provide hands-on support in prototyping and testing when required.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong foundation in engineering mechanics, strength of materials, and machine design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modelling software (Solidworks/Inventor).
  • In-depth knowledge of sheet metal, machine, or material handling equipment design.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and tolerance analysis techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project assignments.
  • Basic understanding of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
