Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Project Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Tableau-based data visualization and reporting projects. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and Tableau developers, to deliver actionable insights through dynamic dashboards and reports. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
●      Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Tableau-based data visualization projects from initiation to completion.
●      Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and milestones.
●      Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project deliverables are met.
●      Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely completion and identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
●      Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Stakeholder Management:
●      Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable data insights.
●      Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, priorities, and timelines.
●      Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner.
Tableau Development and Support:
●      Oversee the development and enhancement of Tableau dashboards and reports, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable for future use.
●      Ensure adherence to best practices for data visualization, dashboard design, and performance optimization.
●      Support the Tableau development team by providing project insights, reviewing progress, and assisting with technical challenges.
Quality Assurance:
●      Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data in Tableau reports and dashboards.
●      Conduct regular reviews and testing of Tableau dashboards to ensure functionality, user-friendliness, and alignment with business objectives.
Resource Management:
●      Manage the allocation of resources for Tableau projects, ensuring that the right team members with the right skills are assigned to each project.
●      Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and Tableau developers.
Reporting and Documentation:
●      Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, issue logs, and change requests.
●      Provide status reports and project updates to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
●      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
●      3+ years of experience in project management, specifically in business intelligence or data analytics.
●      Strong experience with Tableau, including creating dashboards, reports, and integrating with data sources.
●      Experience managing end-to-end project delivery for data analytics or BI solutions.
●      Familiarity with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies is a plus.
Skills:
●      Strong understanding of Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop.
●      Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
●      Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
●      Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
●      Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Certifications (optional but preferred):
●      Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Professional.
●      PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is a plus.
