Our R&D team (Indian entity) is at the core of all product and technology innovation Check out our website Your Impact We are looking for a MySQL Database Developer who has strong hands-on experience in MySQL, along with solid backend fundamentals. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to design, optimise, and scale database systems that power high-growth, user-facing applications. If you enjoy solving complex data problems, improving performance at scale, and building reliable systems, this role is for you. Design, develop, and maintain MySQL database schemas, queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures. Optimise database performance, including indexing, query tuning, caching, and load balancing. Work closely with backend engineers to integrate MySQL effectively within Node.js services. Contribute to backend development when required using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js. Ensure data integrity, security, backups, and high availability Support system design discussions and propose scalable database solutions. Troubleshoot database-related issues and drive root-cause analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall application performance. What skills do you need? 3–6 years of dedicated hands-on experience with MySQL—including query writing, optimisation, schema design, and performance improvements. Strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalisation, indexing strategies, and execution plans. Experience working on high-scale, high-growth product-based companies (mandatory). Ability to design efficient, scalable database structures for B2C applications. Strong analytical mindset—able to understand why a certain approach is more optimal, not just how to implement it. Experience working in fast-paced startup environments where performance and speed matter. Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance dashboards. Experience optimising systems for speed, scalability, and reliability. Good to have Exposure to backend development with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Express.js. Experience with ORM tools like Sequelize. Knowledge of MongoDB, AWS RDS/Aurora, Redis, or caching layers. Understanding of CI/CD and basic DevOps concepts.
