Currently bootstrapped and in pre-seed discussions, we're building the future of chip design.The Opportunity As a Founding AI/ML Engineer, you'll:Shape & LeadBuild our technical foundation with entrepreneurial autonomyMentor junior engineers and set technical standardsDrive product direction, architecture, and company cultureInnovate & DeliverIdentify critical challenges and architect elegant solutionsBridge technical and business stakeholders with exceptional communicationTackle both ML and non-ML engineering challengesGrow & BuildJoin a high-caliber team valuing technical excellence and startup spiritPrioritize learning and long-term career trajectoryEmbrace significant upside potential in a fast-moving startupWhat You'll Do Research: Stay ahead of LLMs, VLMs, and GenAI advances, translating cutting-edge research into practical chip design solutionsEngineering: Own the full ML lifecycle—data processing, model architecture, training, evaluation, and MLOps. Design and maintain production LLM applicationsCollaboration: Partner with product engineers, designers, and data scientists to build AI solutions that transform chip design workflowsCommunication: Effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiencesRequired Qualifications EducationBachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related fieldPh.D. or equivalent experience is a plusExperience (3+ years in ML)Deployed AI models in real-world production applicationsInstruction fine-tuning and prompt engineering for domain-specific LLMsBuilt retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelinesLLM inference optimization (e.g., vLLM)Cloud deployment and scaling of AI/ML systemsLLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face)Bonus ExperienceLangGraph, GPU/TPU provisioning, Kubernetes/MLOpsContext management (chunking, summarization, sliding windows)AI-assisted coding tools and code generation challengesModel monitoring and MLOps workflowsTechnical SkillsCore: Expert Python, PyTorchBackend: Flask, FastAPI, Django for APIs and servicesDevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCPPlus: JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue.js, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL, REST/GraphQL APIsPreferred Qualifications Research papers in AI/ML venues or impactful technical blog postsActive open-source contributions, Kaggle competitionsPrior startup experience in fast-paced environmentsWhy Join Us?
