Role Description


This is a full-time on-site role for a Principal at IAER college in Kolkata.


  • We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Principal
  • He/She will oversee the academic programs and ensure high-quality education delivery.
  • He/She will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and operation of the College, contributing to the seamless flow of resources that support our educational initiatives
  • He/She will lead a team of faculty members and collaborate with industry experts to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.
  • This role requires a dedicated individual who can uphold our vision and mission through effective academic and administrative qualities.


Job Responsibilities


1. Academic Program Management:


  • Design, develop, implement, and oversee the annual Student Experience and Site Plan, which includes student activities, advising sessions, community engagement opportunities, and other experiences that add to the students’ professional and educational development.
  • Maintain Academic Development reports in Book Binding form as well as ebook , which include Seminars, Industry Visit by Students , Events , Workshops & Other activities.


2. Admit and Retain Prospective and Current Students:


  • Serve on the Professional UG & PG Admissions Committee to review applications and make admission decisions for all program sites.
  • Create and execute a plan to ensure strong student retention, including consistent touch points with new and returning students.
  • Determine the courses needed annually to support skill development in areas desired by students and industries


3. Corporate Development and Partner Engagement


  • Develop and maintain relationships with the corporate world and other key stakeholders and partners for placements and Collaborations.
  • Manage relationships with alumni to keep them connected and engaged, to engage with current students, and to assist with program visibility within their organisation/companies.


4. General Management job role


  • Manage budgets,
  • Handle scheduling, record-keeping and reporting
  • Ensure the College complies with AICTE norms and regulations along with Affiliation University's Guidelines.
  • Ensure Liaison with Affiliating University and Corporate Community
  • Hire, train and advise staff
  • Counsel students when needed
  • Resolve conflicts and other issues
  • Communicate with parents, regulatory bodies and the public
  • Have a hand in the creation of the college curriculum
  • Implement actions that improve the college and the quality of education (e.g. building renovations, new guidelines for students, new subjects)
