Job Description
Provide the implementation expertise in delivering medium, large and/or complex network integration projects spanning multiple products and services. The PM will serve as project lead to the Customer for all qualified initiatives.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the Customer solutions.
The PM position requires solid subject matter knowledge, the ability to work independently with general supervision, and the ability to plan, schedule, and execute various activities.
The projects managed by this position are defined by the following attributes: size and scope of project, strategic significance, complexity of product, service, or Customer application which requires the need for detailed project plans and professional project management.
Managing all aspects of the project, including teams consisting of work groups (regulated and non-regulated) and partners, as well as interfacing with vendors and the Customer by using modern project management tools and methodology.
General knowledge areas include :
Contract Management & Vendor management.
Provisioning,
Maintenance
Billing
Database management and design operations
Administration and management of associated Network Operating systems and interfaces required to respond to internal and external service requests
Familiarity with:
Routing public and private networks
LAN switching
Transport operations.
Network surveillance.
Central office equipment installation.
Network monitoring and control.
Wireless Access & IP telephony
Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver Customer program plan to ensure accurate expectations are set and advise Customers of any critical project Milestones
Provide and arrange support across regions for global programs
Apply & assure end-to-end Project Methodology and ensure high quality results
Lead the project team (as the overall primary point of contact) throughout a Customer Program lifecycle and ensure that all key Milestones are met
Ensure that project delivery activities are coordinated between the Customer, Sales account team, and internal groups (e.g. Service Delivery, Billing, and Service Management)
Ensure that a clean hand-over to the Customer & Service Management team at the close of each project is facilitated
Ensure that first invoices for each project are being checked and that the billing start-date in accordance with policy
Capture Customer business priorities, critical information & agree project plan
Ensure that service activations are scheduled & facilitated with the Customer
Proactively provide the Customer, Sales Rep(s) & Service Manager with frequent project progress reports, highlighting Risks, Actions, Issues &/or Dependencies (written & verbal as appropriate)
Provide project dashboard reports to key internal & Customer stakeholders
Assess, record & mitigate risks / dependencies against project on-time delivery, quality &/or budget
Lead cross functional teams to take preventative (& corrective) action on any project related issues and escalate as required to ensure Customer requirements and due dates are met
Ensure that programs are documented to a high standard, communicated and agreed with the Customer according to the Project Management standards and the contract.
Ensure that Customer surveys are initiated at the completion of each project
As required by Customer agreements, attend in-person face-to-face meetings
