Position: Communication and Soft Skills Trainer
Location: Pune Institute of Business Management, Pune

CTC - up to 5 LPA
Reports to: Head of Training & Placement / HR Department
Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Communication and Soft Skills Trainer to join our team at the Pune Institute of Business Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing training in business communication, personality development, language skills, and soft skills to MBA students. The trainer will also focus on preparing students for placements in MNCs and global corporations by enhancing their employability and professional communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training Delivery:
- Conduct interactive and engaging training sessions for MBA students on business communication, personality development, language proficiency, and soft skills.- Focus on enhancing students' written and verbal communication, presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and confidence.- Deliver sessions on professional etiquettes, business writing, email communication, corporate language, and cross-cultural communication.- Provide mock interview sessions, group discussions, and placement preparation activities.
1. Curriculum Development:
- Develop, design, and update training materials, modules, and content to ensure that they align with industry standards and meet the needs of MNCs and global corporations.- Tailor soft skills programs to suit the requirements of different student cohorts, focusing on improving business acumen, communication, leadership, and teamwork.
1. Placement Training:
- Design and deliver specialized training programs for students to help them prepare for job interviews, group discussions, and other selection processes used by multinational corporations.- Work closely with the placement cell to understand the expectations of recruiters and adjust training content accordingly.- Conduct mock assessments, interviews, and simulations to help students refine their interview and communication strategies.- Ensure students understand corporate cultures and the expectations of working in global corporations.
1. Student Development:
- Assess and monitor the progress of students through regular assessments, feedback sessions, and performance reviews.- Provide one-on-one mentoring and guidance to students on improving their communication and soft skills.- Identify areas of improvement for individual students and offer personalized support to enhance their skills.
1. Feedback and Improvement:
- Collect feedback from students to continuously improve training methods and content.- Stay updated with the latest trends in communication, soft skills, and corporate demands to ensure the training remains relevant and impactful.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Communication, or related field.- Certification in Communication or Soft Skills Training (preferably).- At least 2 years of experience in corporate training, with a focus on communication and soft skills.- Experience working with MBA students or similar professional programs is a plus.- Strong knowledge of business communication, corporate etiquette, and global workplace dynamics.- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong interpersonal and public speaking abilities.- Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage students in learning.- Strong organizational and time-management skills.- Ability to assess and improve student performance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in training students for global corporate placements.- A passion for helping students develop professional skills and succeed in the corporate world.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in Pune, Maharashtra.- Monday to Saturday working hours with occasional weekend sessions for placement preparation.
