Position: Manager – Operations & AccountsA. Overview of the PositionThe Manager – Operations & Accountswill oversee the end-to-end operational and accounting functions ofSovereign Global Markets Pvt. Ltd. (SGMPL) . The role involves managing back-office operations for theFixed Income vertical , ensuring accurate trade settlements, financial reporting, and compliance adherence. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in finance operations and accounting within the capital markets ecosystem, ensuring precision, timeliness, and collaboration across departments.B. QualificationsMandatory:CA (Inter) — candidates must have completed CA (Inter) and should not be pursuing CA furtherPreferred:Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and/or Diploma in Investment Management, Financial Markets, or related disciplinesC. Experience and SkillsMinimum3 yearsof relevant experience inoperations and/or accountswithin theFixed Income BrokingorCapital MarketsindustryStrong understanding of financial products — Fixed Income, Equity, and Mutual FundsWorking knowledge ofcompliancerequirements across financial market businessesFamiliarity withtrading platformsand trade execution processesUnderstanding ofcommercial termsof financial productsProficient inTally ERPandMS OfficeD. Working RelationshipReports directly to the Managing Directorand works closely with the management and functional teams to support financial transactions, settlements, accounting, and compliance operations across all business units.E. Key Responsibilities1. Fixed Income Back-Office OperationsProvide complete operational support to the Fixed Income deskConfirm and settle trades; coordinate with banks and clientsRecord and report transactions on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisMaintain real-time investment inventory and daily deal reportsCompute and maintainXIRRandYTMfor fixed income instrumentsPrepare and submit price quotes to clientsMaintain documentation for price bands, Demat/Remat processesManage client onboarding and empanelment, especially forNorthern IndiaregionExecute trades on platforms as per Delegation of AuthorityEnsure timely and accurate trade reporting (SLR, Non-SLR, PF clients, etc.)2. Finance and AccountsPass and verify accounting entries in Tally ERPPrepare and reconcile detailed trading statements andP&L(unit-wise and consolidated)Perform trade reconciliations for accurate reportingProcess payments (invoices, expenses, payroll, statutory dues)Handle petty cash operations and bank fund transfersManage bank limits and maintain updated banking documentation3. Compliance and ReportingEnsure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance normsPrepare audit schedules, respond to queries, and support external auditsGenerate periodic management reports for all business unitsLiaise with exchanges, depositories, and counterparties for operational mattersSalary Range:₹5 – ₹8 LPA (based on experience and qualification)
