Job Description The Assistant Manager Planning will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans, optimizing inventory levels, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing demand trends, and implementing best practices to achieve key performance metrics and enhance customer satisfaction.

Develop weekly and monthly supply plans for various distribution centers in the US and Canada, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets. Achieve key performance metrics, including

fill rate ,

on-time delivery (OTIF), safety stock shortfall, excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory,

and inventory days. Coordinate with the Category Manager to analyze demand trends, market dynamics, and upcoming customer demand, ensuring accurate forecasting and planning. Monitor and adjust planning parameters as business conditions change to meet service and inventory objectives effectively. Design and lead the

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

process monthly, collaborating with key stakeholders to align supply and demand plans. Serve as the subject matter expert in S&OP processes, providing training and guidance to internal teams as needed. Own reporting and analysis of monthly

Supply Chain KPIs

and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Develop a low-cost global

distribution network plan

for all product categories, optimizing logistics costs and lead times. Anticipate stock-outs and shortages based on current and future business needs, proactively addressing supply gaps. Coordinate with the Procurement team to enhance material availability, optimize purchasing processes, and minimize supply chain disruptions. Provide weekly reports to the business team, highlighting areas of opportunity and improvement in the supply chain. Identify and implement opportunities to optimize costs, reduce lead times, and improve

supply chain efficiency . Collaborate closely with the Category Manager and Procurement team to develop

inventory strategies

for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Manage

inventory targets

by establishing appropriate safety stock levels at each node of the supply chain. Plan inventory levels at each warehouse location, balancing inventory investment with customer

service levels . Process improvements and achieving results in

supply chain optimization .

Inventory management; supply planning, distribution, forecast accuracy, e-commerce (prefer)

Qualifications Bachelors / Master's degree in Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain/ Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in supply chain planning software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization. Knowledge of S&OP processes, inventory management principles, and demand forecasting methodologies. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. 1 -5 years of experience.
