Backend Software Engineer

We are an early-stage startup based out of San Francisco. We are building a Lifesciences-focused conversational chatbot along with AI-powered datasets to advance Life Sciences research. We are an international team spread around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Use GPT/Mixtral models to develop chatbots and datasets from Public data.
  • Build cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure - real-time streaming engines (Apache Spark or similar), Scraping engines, Databases (BigQuery, Postgres or similar), and Analytics engines on top of Google Cloud Platform using Open source software.
  • Deliver frameworks and platforms that are secure, efficient, mature, and highly available that abstract away infrastructure complexity.
  • Optimize existing systems/services to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Systematically improve availability by applying industry and distributed systems best practices.
  • Work with other talented and friendly infrastructure engineers to build the foundation for Blockchain advancements over the next decade.

Requirements

  • You are an expert-level engineer with Python.
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in a Backend Infrastructure role.
  • A passion for AI and a good understanding of Python/Pandas/SQL.
  • The ability to work proactively and collaboratively with the various people and teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Work with a globally distributed team of Engineers.
