Description :The opportunity As an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Transformer Design at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara, India, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, diversity, and collaboration. The Transformers Business Unit is leading the way in energy transformation, delivering advanced solutions across a wide range of industries. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experts from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to building a sustainable future. How you’ll make an impact The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team specialized in Oil Type Power Transformer up to 60 MVA 161 kV Class design covering different countries. Responsible to prepare electrical design (Quotation) meeting factory limitation, guideline, and checklist as per IEEE standards as per project schedule. Responsible for Preparation of Customer documents, Manufacturing documents, Bill of materials etc. as per project schedule. Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network. Participation in internal design concept reviews. Demonstrated team building skills and networking skills, would be a preference. Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your background Candidate should hold a degree in B.E / B. Tech Electrical Engineering. 4-8 years’ experience working in Electrical design for Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered. Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics Should have good understanding of IEEE Standards & Canadian Standards. Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous. Experience on Microsoft office and tools. Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world. Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference. Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
