Network Circuit Provisioning | Semi-Technical Role

Ideal job for candidates that have an experience working for a Telecom B2B (preferably) or B2C in the fixed-line process for any of the following global Telecom clients across the globe: Verizon, AT&T, Charter Communications (Spectrum), Century Link (Lumen), Comcast, Cox Communications, Frontier Communications, Windstream, Sprint-T-Mobile, C Spire, Charter Communications, BT Global Services, Deutsche Telecom, Orange, Vodafone, KPN, Swisscom, Telecom Italia, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio. Network Engineer/Associate

1. Review Telco Access and Circuit order by performing network design checks and site readiness to ensure provisioning of order is line with customer’s order

2. Perform and document all checks and component testing to determine completeness and accuracy of all information

3. Perform tasks and activities to ensure on-time request through to local Telco Access providers

4. Perform exception/jeopardy management tasks including documenting and escalating as required to be able to meet and deliver customer promised commitment timelines

5. Deliver on-time response and resolution updates via Phones, Emails, Tickets/tasks from various stakeholders, internal and external

6. Provide weekly order summary performance to drive Telco turnaround performance

7. Track, manage, and resolve all Third-Party Access Provider related activities, milestones, & escalations

8. Coordinate with Local Field Technicians, 3rd Party Vendors and Local Telco Access providers in performing standard testing test, install and activations of local circuits and porting of telephone numbers in systems and troubleshooting of connectivity

9. Coordinate and conduct standard testing as required based on the product type

10. Troubleshoot, document, and resolve issues identified and certify services end to end

11. Support on escalated trouble tickets from Network Operations and Customer Service

12. Work with our dispatch team to support site surveys when circuit testing is involved

Remote Circuit Activation Network Engineer: Tier 1, Tier 2 & 3

This is a remote customer-facing role that specialises in assisting B2B customers with the turn-up of their Network (Circuit) and logical activation of Transport Layer 1, 2 &3 configuration for a variety of high-speed data services solutions. This team is setup based on a Tiered Operating structure involving routine, complex and escalated circuit-build delivery scenarios. There are multiple roles within Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 support and based on candidates’ prior experience and skillsets including communication skills, an appropriate job-fitment will be assessed during the screening and interview process.

Responsibilities:

1. Review circuit activation order in advance for technical details and configuration and testing of circuits

2. Pre-activation activities include coordination of Third-Party Access Providers, pre-build circuits prior to activation, and coordinating with other departments and the customer

3. Exposure to Ethernet Topologies , Network design (Lan,WAN,ISP) and troubleshooting.

4. Join scheduled live circuit activation conference calls with customers to turn-up circuits and perform technical troubleshooting and configuration changes

5. Provide comprehensive technical support to customers during the turn up of new Data Network (IP, Switched Ethernet) and Optical Transport Network (SONET, DWDM) services via phone and email

6. Perform routine circuit testing and acceptance in accordance with standards

7. Provide network technical assistance to external teams such as Service Desk, Field Technicians and other Engineering teams as and when required through phone channels by communicating technical details during turnup and activation

8. Configure routers, firewalls, and NIDs using standard and non-standard templates

9. Conduct RFC tests on new circuits; test, turn up, and troubleshooting T1, E1, DS3, OC3, OC12 and high capacity Ethernet circuits

10. Perform Internet Route Registry updates, DNS configuration and support and BGP configuration and support

11. Coordinate with Telco Access providers as and when required to help with circuit activations

12. Provide single point of ownership in managing and dealing with escalated technical and activation jeopardy scenarios to prevent failures including non-acceptance of activations by customers

Remote Activation Network Engineer | VoIP & Local Number Porting

This is a remote customer-facing Network Engineering role that specialises in assisting B2B customers with activation of their VoIP network This team Activation Engineer will be responsible for activation of VoIP services in the Client systems. . There are multiple roles within Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 support and based on candidates’ prior experience and skillsets including communication skills, an appropriate job-fitment will be assessed during the screening and interview process.

Responsibilities:

1. Review VoIP activation order in advance for technical details and configuration and testing and readiness

2. Perform data gathering and validation of switches

3. Provide support for TDM and SIP enabled VOIP network

4. Port the telephone numbers and validate

5. Participate in VoIP Activation calls with B2B clients and their Telecom vendors

6. Implementing and configuring BGP and BGPv6

7. Provision Session Border Controllers (SBC) including validation of SBC provisioning

8. Verify if the test calls are properly routed in the VOIP network

9. Complete test calls and capture it as it routes in the network

10. Perform network diagnostics and troubleshooting of LAN/WLAN configuration

11. Perform call-flow analysis through call tracing tools & software

12. Coordinate with Telco Access providers as and when required to help with VoIP activation and number porting

13. Provide single point of ownership in managing and dealing with escalated technical and activation jeopardy scenarios to prevent failures including non-acceptance of activations by customers

Skills and Qualifications

1. First and foremost, you must be comfortable in a customer facing role with excellent customer communications skills – ability to work collaboratively and professionally with multiple stakeholders as required

2. Very good knowledge of Telecommunications and previous experience working as a VoIP Network Engineer

3. Hands-on-knowledge of VoIP, SIP, BGP and SBC protocols

4. Hands-on knowledge of Networking Protocols & Ports (TCP/IP, PIP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Switching, Subnetting)

5. Knowledge of Network Transportation such as VPN, VLAN, WLAN etc.

6. Hands-on using multiple applications

7. Telco Technical Support experience like resolving Connection/Wi-Fi/Speed Issues for Tier 1 roles

8. Good observation skills and documentation skills for Problem management & Escalation

9. Relevant College Degree

10. Industry certifications such as CCNA/P, Network+, JNCIA/P/CIS mandatory for Tier 3 roles

11. International Telecoms and Networking experience of 5+ year for Tier 2 and Tier 3 roles
