Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading the Commodity strategies creation, development and implementation.
• Responsible to devise ways and means to maximize commodity buying efficiency and minimize risks.
• Develop and manage pricing strategies; responsible for the development of the entire strategy for buying their respective commodity.
• Developing and implementing the Annual Operating Plan together with the Business and the Commodity Strategic Team.
• Responsible for supplier selection, negotiations, terms and conditions, sourcing decisions, competitiveness, and performance management.
• Alleviate risks and focus on developing supplier performance
• Responsible to align the global and strategic procurement policy to the overall company strategy
• Studying market trends and identifying any risks when sourcing and procuring commodities

Education and Experience:

• Preferred candidate with relevant experience of procurement of Steel
• 15+ years relevant work experience in supply chain or procurement management for high volume and high mix manufacturing
• Excellent Communication skills in English ( Write, Speak, Read)
• Preferable candidates has prior experience in ASIA Region
• Solid knowledge of financial markets that influence commodity prices
• In depth understanding of the market, supplier sourcing, risk, and performance management
• Good negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers
• Project management, collaboration, and communication skills
• Experience working with ERPs is an advantage
• Prior working knowledge of MRP systems preferred
• Advanced Excel command, other planning tools represent an advantage
• Confident decision making
• Readily and easily switches gears in response to unexpected events and circumstances
