About the Role We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a strong background in manual testing and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test cases, collaborating closely with product and development teams, and ensuring that high-quality software is delivered consistently. You will also contribute to identifying automation opportunities, supporting automation engineers, and maintaining QA metrics to drive continuous improvement. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Design and execute test cases for user stories, exploratory testing, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios. Develop and maintain reusable test suites across multiple releases and projects. Collaborate with product managers and developers to clarify requirements and ensure testability throughout the SDLC. Track, triage defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution. Create test cases using Gherkin syntax to support behavior-driven development (BDD). Contribute to identifying automation opportunities and assist in test data preparation, automation maintenance, and test result validation. Maintain and update QA metrics dashboards to support continuous process improvement. Required Skills : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). 5+ years of manual software testing experience in Agile environments. Strong experience with exploratory and structured testing across web-based platforms. 3+ years of experience writing and executing SQL queries using MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgre SQL. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or AWS Pipelines. Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Git Hub, Git Lab) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Dev Ops). Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in dynamic and ambiguous environments. Preferred: Experience writing test cases using Gherkin or similar BDD syntax. Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Ready API, or REST Assured. Exposure to automated test frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium/Test NG, or Cypress. Experience supporting automation engineers with test data management or maintenance of automated scripts.
