About the Team

We are seeking an experienced engineer to develop embedded systems software and implement algorithms for advanced LiDAR systems used in the automotive market.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and integrate device drivers for various microcontroller hardware.
  • Implement embedded software components running on a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in hardware, firmware, and other software to design, implement, and maintain complex embedded systems.
  • Analyze and enhance system efficiency, stability, and scalability.
  • Bring up new hardware platforms and debug existing ones.
  • Rapidly prototype future hardware platforms.
  • Assist in developing and integrating inter-processor communication (IPC) within larger embedded systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience building C or C++ embedded software with demonstrated proficiency in coding, verification, unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN/CAN-FD/Ethernet.
  • Demonstrated experience using scripting or general-purpose programming languages to solve problems.
  • Familiarity with RTOS principles, including task scheduling, BSP integration, memory partitioning, efficient I/O utilization, and device driver creation.
  • Solid foundation in communication protocols like I2C, UART, and SPI.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller peripherals, including ADCs, DACs, Flash, EEPROM, timers, and watchdogs.
  • Experience with control systems work, such as motor control, laser control, thermal control, and others.
  • Ability to understand hardware schematics and data sheets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols like CAN and Ethernet.
  • Development of signal processing or control systems algorithms targeted for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of full lifecycle processes in safety-critical industries like automotive, medical, or military, with a particular interest in ISO 26262 and ASPICE experience.
  • Familiarity with FPGA design and implementation.
