Intraedge is looking for a Azure Data Architect who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions within the Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data platforms, data modeling, and hands-on experience with various Azure data services. You will work closely with stakeholders to align data solutions with business goals and ensure the performance, availability, and security of data systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design: Design scalable and secure data architectures leveraging Azure services like Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Data Integration: Implement data pipelines and workflows for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, or similar tools.
  • Data Governance: Develop data management strategies, including data governance, lineage, and metadata management to ensure data quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize databases and queries for high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Security: Implement security best practices for Azure data platforms, including encryption, data masking, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure data services and best practices to recommend and implement improvements in data architecture and processes.
  • Documentation: Create detailed documentation of data architectures, design patterns, and system configurations for both technical and non-technical audiences.


Good to have experience:

  • Azure Machine Learning: Service for building, training, and deploying machine learning models.
  • Azure Cognitive Services: Pre-built AI models for vision, speech, language, and decision-making.
  • Azure Monitor: Comprehensive solution for collecting, analyzing, and acting on telemetry from cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Azure Log Analytics: Tool for querying and analyzing log data


Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, and data modeling, with 2+ years specifically working with Azure cloud technologies.
  • Strong on Azure Data (ADLS, Data Factory, Snapse Analytics or Data Fabric – one Lake ) – Not just proof of concept but must have deployed solution in production.
  • Must have prior experience working as a Data Engineer
  • Understands Data Modelling (Domain based Architecture)
  • Experience with DBT is a must.
  • Data warehousing experience is a must (Including best practices for organizing the data)
  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Experience with Data Quality and Data Governance
  • Azure Expertise: Proficiency in Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
  • Data Modeling: Strong knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and schema design.
  • ETL/ELT: Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory or other data integration tools.
  • Databases: Deep knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and related technologies.
  • Data Security: Experience with data security and compliance, including encryption, data masking, and RBAC.
  • Programming: Proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation and processing.
  • DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for managing data solutions.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certification (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) in Azure environments
  • Experience with machine learning platforms and data science workflows
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized data solutions in Azure
