Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager with 8 to 10 years of experience in automotive new product development and vehicle integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex technical programs from concept through production, with a deep understanding of automotive engineering principles and processes. This role demands a strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of new products to market. The role would report to the head of program management.


Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.


Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in automotive new product development, with a focus on vehicle integration and program management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical programs from concept to production within the automotive industry.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving ambitious goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of MS project, Zoho Projects, JIRA, Confluence.
  • PMP or similar certification in project management is a plus.



Job Responsibilities:


Program Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple programs related to new vehicle and technology development.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and budget.


Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to drive cross-functional alignment and achieve program objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all project stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, key milestones, and potential roadblocks.


Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize deep technical knowledge of automotive systems, battery development, motor and controller development, vehicle dynamics, mechanical engineering, simulation and integration processes to guide decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Evaluate design proposals, technical requirements, and performance metrics to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Champion best practices in engineering methodologies, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance throughout the product development lifecycle.


Risk Management and Compliance:

  • Proactively identify potential risks to program success, such as technical challenges, supply chain disruptions, or regulatory changes.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and quality management systems in all aspects of program execution.


Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with executive leadership, presenting program updates, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and reviews with key stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and drive consensus on critical program decisions.
