What Does It Mean to Be a Voyage Optimisation Analyst at ZeroNorth?

As a Voyage Optimisation Analyst (Fixed-Term Contract) at ZeroNorth, you will join our newly established Customer Experience and Professional Services team based in Mumbai, India. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with commercial operators, vessel masters, and internal teams such as Customer Experience and Customer Success. With ZeroNorth experiencing rapid growth, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a transformative company.

As a trusted optimisation advisor, you will drive and accelerate success for both internal and external stakeholders, working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Your key responsibilities include:

Gain a deep understanding of the backend processes within the ZeroNorth optimisation platform and serve as an expert in its front-end and user interface.Work closely with customers’ operations teams to understand their business models, strategies, and needs, offering solutions to help them achieve digitalisation and sustainability goals through ZeroNorth’s technology.Oversee customer vessels’ voyages, providing optimal route and speed recommendations that align with commercial agreements and customer needs.Monitor customer fleets to maximise financial benefits through the ZeroNorth platform and collaborate with operators and vessel masters to implement changes.Analyse completed voyages, delivering reports and feedback to internal and external stakeholders, including performance evaluations and claims assessments.Lead onboarding sessions for new customers, familiarising them with the platform, and introducing new features to existing customers.Take ownership of customer feedback and challenges, creating innovative solutions that align with their business models, ensuring they achieve the full potential of ZeroNorth’s platform.Advise clients on scaling the use of ZeroNorth solutions fleet-wide, helping them achieve ROI and meet KPIs.Guide customers through the operational, educational, and governance aspects of their journey with ZeroNorth.Assist Customer Success teams with the successful onboarding and scaling of new and existing customers.

Who Are You?

We are looking for candidates with

3+ years of experience

in the shipping industry, ideally with experience sailing onboard commercial vessels as a 2nd or 3rd officer. This temporary role (3–6 months) is perfect for those with a technical and data-driven mindset who can quickly adapt to new tech products, becoming proficient and efficient in their use.

You are self-motivated, accountable, and agile, with a passion for exceeding customer expectations. You thrive on steep learning curves and excel in project management. Additionally, your communication and teamwork skills are exceptional, and you pay close attention to detail, ensuring a great user experience and high-quality deliverables.

Fluency in both oral and written

English
