  • Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
  • Define and implement the business development roadmap aligned with the organizations growth ambitions.
  • Explore new business lines including airline cadet programs, simulator leasing, corporate aviation training, and international collaborations.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for regional and global expansion in line with regulatory approvals.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
  • Establish and nurture relationships with airlines, OEMs, defense establishments, flying clubs, regulators, and other aviation stakeholders.
  • Lead high-level negotiations with airlines and corporate clients for long-term training contracts.
  • Act as the face of the organization at global aviation summits, trade expos, and industry events.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights
  • Continuously monitor aviation sector trends, regulatory updates (DGCA, EASA, FAA), and competitor activity.
  • Advise management on emerging opportunities in pilot training, airline partnerships, and allied training services.
  • Develop competitive pricing models and revenue forecasts in collaboration with Finance.
  • Operational Excellence in BD
  • Oversee business proposals, tender responses, and RFP/RFQ submissions with precision and compliance.
  • Establish a structured pipeline management system with clear reporting and performance metrics.
  • Drive revenue conversion through disciplined follow-up and relationship-led selling.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Training & Operations to create commercially viable, regulatory-compliant training solutions.
  • Align with Marketing to drive campaigns targeting cadets, airlines, and corporate clients.
  • Work closely with HR to ensure the BD team has the right skills, incentives, and motivation to perform.

  • Leadership & People Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing business development team with clear KPIs and accountability.
  • Mentor team members on client engagement, negotiation skills, and industry knowledge.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture that rewards initiative and innovation.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Aviation Management, or related field is mandatory.
  • MBA or equivalent from IIM, IIT, or other top-tier institution strongly preferred.
  • 1015 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy roles, ideally in aviation, aerospace, or allied sectors.
  • Established network within airlines, aviation authorities, and training organizations.
  • Proven track record in delivering revenue growth, managing large accounts, and closing strategic deals.
  • Strong understanding of DGCA guidelines and global aviation training standards
