Hello Hope you’re doing well Job Title: ETL / BI Tester Location: Hyderabad Experience: 7 – 10 Years Employment Type: Full-time / Contract Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ETL / BI Tester to join our QA team. The candidate will be responsible for validating data integration, ETL processes, data transformations, and BI reports/dashboards to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform testing of ETL processes, data pipelines, and BI solutions to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and performance. Understand business requirements and data models to design effective test cases, test scripts, and scenarios. Conduct functional, regression, system, integration, and performance testing on ETL and BI applications. Validate source-to-target mappings, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Perform SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting issues. Test BI tools and dashboards (such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Qlik, DOMO, or similar). Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues. Work closely with data engineers, developers, and business teams to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions. Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, test data, and test summary reports. Required Skills: Strong experience in ETL Testing and BI / Data Warehouse Testing. Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations, functions) for data validation. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Data Stage, SSIS, Glue, etc.). Experience in testing BI reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Qlik View, etc.). Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Star/Snowflake schema, Fact & Dimension tables. Familiarity with data quality, data profiling, and reconciliation techniques. Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA, ALM, or Azure Dev Ops. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
