Freelancer Data Scientist / Developer – Battery Cell Technology Job Title: Data Scientist / Developer – Battery Cell Technology (Automotive Industry)Location: RemoteEmployment Type: FreelancerExperience: 5+ yearsAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / Developer with a strong background in battery cell technology and automotive applications (electric mobility, charging infrastructure, energy storage). The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in data science, analytics, and programming while leveraging industry experience in the automotive sector.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, design models, and support decision-making in areas critical to the future of electric mobility.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and interpret complex datasets related to battery cells, charging infrastructure, and electric mobility applications.Develop and implement data models, statistical methods, and visualization dashboards to support R&D and business objectives.Work with tools such as MATLAB, Python (numpy, pandas, scipy), Py Spark, Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Plotly, Bokeh for data analysis and visualization.Support optimization of battery performance, charging patterns, and related automotive applications through advanced analytics.Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and product teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable outcomes.Organize, clean, and manage large datasets, ensuring data integrity and structure for analysis.Drive projects independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders across domains.Required Skills & Qualifications:Mandatory experience in the automotive industry (battery cell technology, electric mobility, or charging infrastructure).Several years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or software development.Strong programming skills: Python, MATLAB, and experience with data processing, modeling, and visualization tools.Proficiency in SQL (queries, data structuring); hands-on experience with Py Spark and/or Databricks.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.High level of initiative, adaptability, and ability to grasp new concepts quickly.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Nice-to-Have:Experience with energy storage systems or EV charging networks.Exposure to AI/ML applications in automotive battery research.To Apply:Send your updated resume, along with your expected hourly rate to: , if you happen to know of anyone in your network who may be interested in this opportunity, please feel free to refer them.
