What you’ll achieve
As a Cloud Platforms Architect, you will deliver products and improvements for our NorthStar Cloud platform (based on Kubernetes). Working with the cutting edge technologies and solutions, you will be designing and developing Private Cloud platform and solutions for Dell Applications hosting on Cloud Native platforms (like Kubernetes and cloud foundry) leveraging most sophisticated opensource technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and partnerships.


You will:

Create automation, employ open-source software, interact with API’s, and enable CI/CD to create new cloud features, harvest/visualize metrics, monitor health/performance/capacity, etc

Partner with cross product and development teams to provide education and design consultation

Design specifications for high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by Dell application teams

Provide strategic technical and architectural direction for Cloud native solutions

Essential Requirements

Proven professional experience with building and managing enterprise grade software solutions

Excellent track record in software design and development with significant experience with languages like Python/GoLang/Java/C++/JavaScript

Experience with enabling modern application services (like Messaging, PaaS and caching) on Kubernetes based platforms

Experience with Agile methodologies, effective working independently and in a virtual team setting.


Desirable Requirements

Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree with 12-15 years software industry experience

Experience with Opensource development, varied knowledge of database, development, system engineering and networking concepts
