Partner with the best

As a cloud operations Engineer for the Baker Hughes Cordant SaaS solution, you will maintain critical Cloud Operations for the Cordant infrastructure team. You will support and collaborate with system engineers, infra architects, app team engineers, product owners, subject matter experts, and various stakeholders to build and maintain best in class software infrastructure & products.

Roles & responsibilities:

As a CloudOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:

· Developing, improving, deploying, and supporting Cloud services

· Working on a collaborative team in an Agile and DevOps environment

· Be able to demonstrate best practices pertaining to CloudOps development along with a willingness to continually learn

· Following security guidelines to maintain secure and compliant Cloud services by working with Risk and Security teams

· Looking for automation opportunities and building scripts to automate tasks

· Collaborating with Product Teams to support standard operations and processes

· Collaborating with Infrastructure build team for environment handoff, build operations, and troubleshooting

· Monitoring and analyzing cloud resource usage to identify cost-saving opportunities

· Creating and maintaining technical documents for cloud infrastructure and related processes.

Fuel Your Passion

To be successful in this role you will:

· Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

· Have minimum 5 years’ experience in Cloud Operations and/or Build & Release management, and an additional 5-10 years of professional experience.

· Have experience in Azure cloud services (AKS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Key Vault, Log Analytics, Databricks, etc.)

· Have experience Deploying infrastructure through an automation pipeline

· Have experience using Azure Resource Manager and/or Amazon CloudFormation

· Have experience developing automation solutions (Python, PowerShell, Java, Node.js, .NET, etc.).

· Have experience developing solutions using infrastructure orchestration tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, etc.)

· Have experience creating continuous integration pipelines (Jenkins, Maven CI, Travis CI, etc.)

· Have experience working within an agile team (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming)

· Have experience working with common application architectures (app/web servers, containerization, etc.)

· Have knowledge of IP Networking including VPC’s, DNS, load-balancing, and firewalls

· Have experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS, Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Shell Scripting, Terraform

· Be willing to travel 5%
