Technical Project Manager with IRS MBI Clearance

Opportunity Overview:This candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of any project in a company's IT department, which includes managing a team of employees to ensure projects are completed on time and within their specified budgets. Some of an IT Project Manager's day-to-day duties include.Responsibilities:Responsible for providing overall management of assigned technology projects in support of corporate transformation initiatives, day-to-day business operations, and our external clients and partnersDirect and oversee the implementation and full lifecycle of small to medium projects or may be part of a PM team for complex programsRegularly interface with the IT engineering resources, IT management and other line-of-business owners, to ensure speed of delivery, transparency of project work, and consistent stakeholder participationHave full responsibility for meeting client approved integrated master schedules, motivating team members to complete work efficiently and accurately, and ensuring that all services are delivered according to project contractual requirementsServe as the primary point of contact and interface between technical teams and upstream project/program managers, business stakeholders, and external clients if applicableManage day-to-day tasks for internal and vendor managed project team membersCollaborate with various functional and technical teams to ensure timeline, complete, and accurate implementationsWork is generally independent and collaborative in natureAssist with project budget, resources, and schedulePerform quality control and ensure quality assurance of project deliverablesSubmit project status and other assigned reports to the PMO and other stakeholdersEnsure deliver of project lifecycle documents, including, but are not limited to, Project Plan, Installation Plan, Standard Operating Procedures SOPs, Systems Design Document, Configuration Management CM Plan, Release Management Plan, & Risk Management PlanTrack costs, schedule, and project performance, and take corrective actions, when necessary, to ensure that projects are within budget, on schedule, and meet quality standards & customer satisfactionUtilize Project Management PM lifecycle and Systems Development Lifecycle SDLC methodologies.Contribute to corporate repository of project standards.Contribute to proposal writing.This is a REMOTE position. Ability to travel up to 50%. Perform other duties as assigned.Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 5 years of project management experience requiredPMP or CSM certification requiredExperience in various project methodologies e.g., Agile, DevOps, PMP, and or ITILv4Working knowledge of standard Project Management tools: Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, Contact Centers, Data Centers, Digital Transformations, etc.Experience leading small - medium technical projects at Internal Revenue Service IRS.Supporting mixed technology environments: Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris, etc.Must possess exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
