Department overview

ISS COO - Fund Services and Oversight (FSO) is the operational backbone of Fidelity International, crucial to the accurate, timely and efficient administration of our funds. The Global Fund Accounting department, within FSO Operations, is responsible for all the tasks required to ensure our fund investors receive accurate returns and information. This includes calculating the daily NAV for each fund, maintaining accurate accounting records for over 2,000 funds, compiling statutory reporting for shareholders in line with accounting standards, completing fund level tax and regulatory reporting along with calculating income distributions. Three quarters of the NAV calculations are completed in house by the FIL Fund Accounting teams in Japan, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom & Ireland. The remainder of the NAV calculations are outsourced to third party administrators across Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea where FIL Fund Accounting provide an oversight for these functions.

What you’ll do

This role will be part of the Fund Servicing Shared Services in India. The team is responsible for supporting the FSO teams globally and ensure the funds core accounting records are accurate and meet regulatory and accounting standards. You would be leading the FA function role for UK or Ireland and would be required to provide leadership to your team members with high quality of service delivery and support global FA team and ongoing transformation initiatives and audit reviews, etc

Key Responsibilities

Day to day management of a team of fund accountants Manage and seamlessly deliver process migrations from global locations. Recruitment, training, development, coaching and motivation. All fund accounting controls are completed, and accounting records are accurate and up-to-date, Ensure daily accounting data is input into the books and records of the funds accurately Production of key deliverables to SLA’s. Review of productivity and efficiency of the team with focus on controls, procedures and risk mitigation, Management of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, Production of management information for key stakeholders, Implementation and maintenance of an effective control framework to ensure the integrity of the books and records of all products Create an environment of continuous improvement within the team Execute / Support actions and next steps for the implementation of target operating models Be an advocate for the department across the enterprise

Experience and Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or Finance Preferably Qualified accountant or qualified through experience Relevant Fund Accounting experience / knowledge Good working knowledge of Office applications, particularly Excel and Access
