Job Title

Lead Architect

Position Name - Lead Architect

The role:

Be responsible for software architecture throughout the development lifecycle, take into consideration system constraints and enterprise architecture strategic direction

Deep-dive, think long-term, architecting solutions that are strategic and practical

Multi-disciplinary experience (Cloud, storage, application design, N/W etc.) knowledge of the system/product associated

Select appropriate design standards, methods and tools

Provide software design and solutions with artifacts such as system architecture diagrams, design documents, and design walk-through to various stake holders.

Technical Acumen in evaluation & decision making of design options

Identify prototyping opportunities, present feasibility analysis on potential future projects

Provide knowledge on state-of-the art software architecture, taking future developments into account

Liaise with product management, per organizations to plan and develop Architectural runway in support of new business features and capabilities

Assess requirements, constraints & define NFRs and build them into the architecture (e.g., stability, security, Performance/scalability, response time)

Contribute to the local and global architecture community, and drive/participate in architectural studies

Good knowledge of current industry standards, trends & needs (e.g., North star, Cloud native computing foundation, Sustainability etc.)

Anticipate required skills to face future technological evolution

Promote continuous education, mentoring and coaching to team

Passion for innovation, support team members to be bolder and push boundaries

Develop good understanding of own products, and the external market

Participate in production launches

Education:

Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields

Relevant Work Experience:

12+ years of professional experience in software development disciplines

Previous experience as a technical architect/system architect in a major IT player

Exposure to senior and top management (VPs, Directors)

Experience in airline/travel domain would be a plus

Skills:

Knowledge of application design and architecture

Experience in C++ software development also, micro service design

Knowledge of data science and machine learning

Exposure to Design Patterns, Software Architecture best practices, and Agile SDLC, build & deployment tools and CI / CD practices

Knowledge of cloud provider environments (MS Azure is a plus)

Experience with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and cloud migration strategy

Other:

Ability to define a vision/direction and communicate it to global stakeholders

Acts as a knowledge resource on multiple projects/initiatives across the company

Critical thinking and the ability to understand complex applications

High risk appetite, encouraging team members to take risks as well

Thrives in a professional, global and is an excellent team player

Solid experience on a complex business domain, understanding of airline/travel industry would be a plus
