Job Title: Halwai Cook

Location: Bengaluru Near Devanahalli (Kempegowda International Airport)


Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and production schedules. This involves chopping, slicing, dicing, and marinating ingredients as required.
  • Cooking: Cook food products using various methods such as grilling, baking, frying, or sautéing. Ensure that the food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and texture, following established recipes and guidelines.
  • Recipe Adherence: Follow standardized recipes and instructions to maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of food products.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet the company's standards and specifications. Report any quality issues or deviations to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation practices, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following company and regulatory guidelines.


  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, stovetops, fryers, and grills. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the maintenance team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the food manufacturing team, including sous chefs, food technologists, and production supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of production targets.
  • Documentation: Accurately record production and cooking data, including batch sizes, cooking times, and ingredient usage. Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
  • Safety Compliance: Comply with all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary training or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a cook or chef (ideally in a central kitchen or large-scale production)
  • In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial kitchen equipment and its operation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with team members.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
