Citi Internal Audit (IA) provides independent assessments of Citi’s control environment, risk management and governance for key stakeholders including Citi’s board of directors, senior management and regulators. We are a global function with over 2,500 professionals providing assurance across all of Citi's businesses.

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as VP, Audit Manager I – Compliance Audit - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Audit Manager I  - C13 ) based in Mumbai Maharashtra , India . In this role, you’re expected to:

Consistently develop, execute and deliver audit reports in a timely manner, in accordance with Internal Audit and Regulatory standards

Review and approve the Business Monitoring Quarterly summary and serve as lead reviewer for all reviews

Collaborate with teams across the business and determine impact on overall control environment and audit approach

Manage audit activities relating to Compliance and Market Conduct risk areas for a component of a product line, function, or legal entity at the global or country level

Leverage a comprehensive expertise to manage a team

Advise the business on change initiatives, while advancing integrated auditing concepts and technology adoption

Recommend interventions to issues, propose solutions for risk and control problems, partner with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for broader corporate issues

Apply in-depth understanding of Internal Audit standards, policies and regulations to a specific product or function area

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

6-10 years of relevant experience in Audit, Compliance or Risk and Control; experience in the assessment of controls' efficiency to mitigate Compliance and Market Conduct risks is a plus

Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar) preferred

Effective comprehension of business side of audit function and subject matter expertise regarding Compliance and Market Conduct risks

Effective verbal, written and negotiation skills

Effective project management skills

Effective influencing and relationship management skills

Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment

Data Science skills including the use of statistics, data modeling, data mining and predictive analytics preferred; proficiency in the following technical skills is a plus: SAS, R, SQL, Python, Business Intelligence, Visualization Tools, VBA
