You will be responsible for driving the innovationand technical excellence of our power solutions contributing to thesuccess of SolarEdges mission to make solar energy more accessibleand efficient.What will you bedoingLead the designanalysis and development of advanced power electronics and powersystems for SolarEdges solar energy products including inverterspower optimizers and energy storagesolutions.Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams including electrical engineers Mechanical Engineers/DesignersPCB Layout Engineers and firmware developers to ensure seamlessdevelopment integration and optimization of powersystems.Conduct power system studies such asload flow analysis transient stability and harmonic analysis toassess system performance andreliability.Perform detailed design andanalysis of power electronic circuits ensuring compliance withindustry standards and safetyregulations.Prepare detailed designdocumentation Schematics BoM and testprocedures.Lead the testing and verificationof power electronics and power systems both in the lab and field toensure they meet design specifications and qualitystandards.Participate in design reviewsproviding technical expertise and guidance to the team to drivecontinuous improvement andinnovation.Collaborate with suppliers andmanufacturing teams to support the transition of designs fromR&D to mass production addressing any designrelated issuesduring production.Mentor and guide juniorengineers fostering a collaborative and innovative workenvironment.

Requirements :

Bachelor s (B.E/B.Tech) ormaster s (M.E./M.Tech) degree in electrical /electronicsEngineering with a specialization in Power Electronics or PowerSystems.10 years of handson experience inpower electronics design and power system analysis preferably inthe solar energy or renewable energyindustry.Strong understanding of powersemiconductor devices (Including SiC and GaN) gate drive circuitsand magnetic components used in powerconverters.Experience with simulation tools(e.g. PSpice LT SPICE Simulink etc.)Knowledgeof power converter topologies (e.g. DC/DC DC/AC and AC/DC)including resonant and bidirectional converters and gridtiedinverters.Excellent knowledge of PCB layoutrules considering highcurrent traces thermal management creepageclearance requirements for HV and LVtraces.Ensure compliance with best practicesfor power distribution component placement and impedancecontrol.Implement EMI/EMC best designpractices to ensure compliance with regulatorystandards.Familiarity with internationalsafety and regulatory standards for power electronics and solarenergy products.Excellent problemsolvingskills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complextechnical issues.Strong communication andinterpersonal skills to work effectively in a crossfunctional teamenvironment.Proven track record of deliveringhighquality power electronics designs from concept toproduction.Resultsoriented mindset with afocus on achieving tangible and measurableresults.SolarEdgerecognizes its talented and diverse workforce as a key competitiveadvantage.
