You’ll be our: Senior Compliance Counsel 

You’ll be based at: Corporate office, Bangalore (IBC Knowledge Park)

You’ll be aligned with : General Counsel/Asst. General Counsel 

You’ll be joining our : Corporate Legal Team


What you’ll do at Ather:


  • Manage organisation wide compliance activities including monitoring and tracking compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policies, guidelines etc.

  • Assess compliance requirements of each function including Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Finance, and HR. Develop and implement a compliance playbook.  

  • Sensitise and follow up with all stakeholders to ensure adherence to compliance and implications of non-compliance.

  • Carry out the compliance risks identification, assessment, evaluation, mitigation and remediation plan across functions; coordinate with and track timely compliance by respective functional compliance champions; carry out periodic audit/review of compliances by various functions. 

  • Design and develop compliance training modules and conduct trainings for functional compliance champions, and create compliance awareness across functions.

  • Keep track of latest developments in applicable laws, regulations and rules, analyse impact, inform stakeholders to ensure timely compliance with new requirements. 

  • Provide quality and strategic advice to stakeholders in areas of statutory compliances. 

  • Be sensitive to rapidly changing work and business priorities and have an adaptable and flexible approach to work to ensure timely, positive, and constructive counselling.

  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Statutory Audit, external Audit teams in order to find ways to strengthen the existing compliance framework.

  • Ensure proper implementation of compliance tool and timely reporting/submissions in the tool by various submitters/approvers.

  • Prepare monthly/quarterly MIS/PPTs on compliance status and present the same before senior management / Board.

  • Understand, analyse and track the progress of each non-compliance in detail.

What you bring to Ather:

  • Around 10-13 years of relevant post-qualification experience in reputed manufacturing companies, preferably from automobile industry.

  • Law Degree from a premier institution with core experience in Compliance domain.
