The Relationship Executive is a vital member of our patient services team, responsible for providing comprehensive counselling to patients regarding available medical tests and financial options. This role involves guiding patients through the process of understanding their medical needs, explaining test procedures, and offering detailed financial counselling to ensure they are aware of the costs and available payment options. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate nature, and a thorough understanding of medical and financial processes within a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Counselling:
  • Test Information: Educate patients about various medical tests, including the purpose, procedure, preparation, and expected outcomes.
  • Answering Queries: Address patient questions and concerns regarding tests and procedures with clarity and empathy.
  • Follow-up: Ensure patients understand follow-up steps and results interpretation.
Financial Counselling:
  • Cost Breakdown: Provide detailed explanations of the costs associated with recommended tests and procedures.
  • Insurance Guidance: Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and guide them through the claims process.
  • Payment Options: Inform patients about available payment plans, financial assistance programs, and discounts.
Coordination and Administration:
  • Appointment Scheduling: Assist patients in scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, financial discussions, and agreements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, billing department, and insurance coordinators to ensure seamless patient experience.
Customer Service:
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are communicated and respected.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather patient feedback to improve counselling services and overall patient satisfaction.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in patient counselling, healthcare services, or financial counselling in a medical setting.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proficient in using healthcare management software.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance processes.
    • Empathetic and patient-oriented approach.
