What This Position Is All About:
The Retail Treasury Process Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the retail treasury operations of the company. This role involves overseeing cash flow, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of transactions, managing retail banking relationships, and implementing treasury policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of retail finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Management:
· Monitor and manage daily cash flow for retail operations.
· Forecast cash requirements and ensure adequate liquidity.
· Optimize cash position through effective use of banking products.
Transaction Reconciliation:
· Reconcile daily retail transactions including credit card, cash, and digital payments.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
Banking Relationships:
· Maintain relationships with retail banking partners.
· Ensure efficient processing of retail deposits and payments.
· Negotiate banking terms and services to optimize costs.
Reporting and Analysis:
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports.
· Analyze cash flow trends and provide insights for decision-making.
· Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
Policy Implementation:
· Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and best practices.
· Continuously assess and improve treasury processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Risk Management:
· Identify and mitigate financial risks related to retail operations.
· Implement controls to safeguard company assets and minimize exposure to fraud.
· Monitor market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
Support and Collaboration:
· Work closely with finance, accounting, and retail teams to ensure seamless treasury operations.
· Provide support for treasury-related projects and initiatives.
· Assist in training and development of team members on treasury processes.
Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in treasury, preferably in a retail environment.
· Proven experience in cash management, Wire, Forecasting cash flow, transaction reconciliation, and banking relationship management.
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Proficient in treasury management systems and financial software.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
