Oracle Financials Support Analyst

Job Description: Oracle Financials Support Analyst (GL, AP, AR) – BAU & Enhancements/Integrations Position Title: Oracle Financials Support Analyst Department: IT / Finance Systems Location: (Add Location) Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financials Analyst responsible for BAU (Business-as-Usual) support , issue resolution, and delivery of enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvements across the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) modules. The role will work closely with Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure system stability, optimal performance, and effective delivery of change initiatives. Key Responsibilities BAU Support Provide daily functional support for Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR) modules. Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, data issues, configuration errors, and process failures. Monitor scheduled jobs, interfaces, reconciliations, and month-end processes. Support finance teams during period close , ensuring timely issue resolution. Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and propose permanent fixes. Maintain documentation for support procedures, configurations, and system workflows. Enhancements & Integration Work Gather and document business requirements for enhancements, new functionalities, and interfaces. Configure Oracle Financials modules to meet business needs (value sets, flexfields, setups, AP/AR rules, GL configurations, etc.). Participate in or lead functional design for new integrations (APIs, file-based integrations, middleware, ERP extensions). Work with developers for customizations, reports, and extensions (BI Publisher, OTBI, SQL, forms/personalization). Conduct functional testing (SIT, UAT) and support deployment activities. Contribute to system upgrades, patching cycles, and regression testing plans. Stakeholder Management Act as a key liaison between Finance users, IT, and third-party vendors. Provide training, process guidance, and user support for finance teams. Ensure clear communication on issue status, release schedules, and enhancement timelines. Required Skills & Experience 3–7+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Financials (preferably Oracle E-Business Suite R12 or Oracle Cloud ERP). Strong functional expertise in GL, AP, and AR modules, including configurations and end-to-end processes. Experience with BAU support , incident management, ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.). Solid understanding of financial accounting processes , period-end, reconciliations, tax setups, and payment processes. Experience with integrations, extensions, and interface troubleshooting (e.G., WebServices, APIs, FBDI, middleware). Competence in SQL queries for analysis and issue investigation. Ability to prepare functional documentation, test scripts, and configuration documents. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials (if relevant). Familiarity with BI Publisher , OTBI , or custom reporting tools. Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Order-to-Cash (O2C) process flows. ERP implementation or upgrade project experience. Accounting or finance background (CPA, CA, or equivalent is a plus). Personal Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
